After more than 30 years of practice on Rachel Street, we moved to our new location at 1480 Cartier Street in May 2021. Easily accessible, you can get there by metro, bike or car. We are located directly in front of the Papineau metro station where there is also a Bixi station. Moreover, parking in this area is simple.

Dr. Sylvain Arsenault

Originally from the Gaspé Peninsula, Dr. Sylvain Arsenault obtained his doctorate in dentistry from l’Université de Montréal in 1985, followed in 1986 by a multidisciplinary residency at l’Hôpital Notre-Dame. Dr. Arsenault has a solid reputation and is a dentist known for the excellence and quality of his care and services. He has been actively involved for several years as a clinician in the CHUM’s dental department.

Dr. Maya Elyas

Dr. Maya Elyas obtained her doctorate in dentistry at the University of Montreal in 2022. Maya is a dedicated dentist. She practices her profession with patience, empathy, and she is detailed oriented. Bilingual, she is serving her patients with her heart. Her respect for each others is admired by her colleagues and her patients. In addition, she ensures continuous training to push her dental knowledge further.

Diversified in her practice, Dr. Elyas and her team serve their patients with calm, dynamism and complicity.

Family Dentistry

Regular dental examinations and cleanings of all family members help to maintain healthy mouths and avoid unpleasant surprises.

The frequency of examinations is usually once or twice a year or more, depending on each patient’s needs.

For children, you should plan to come with them as early as three years old for a first visit. This will be an opportunity to build a bond with their dentist! Rest assured that they will be treated with the utmost care.

The needs of each patient depend on several factors: lifestyle habits (smoking, diet, etc.), dental hygiene habits, general health, etc. In order to get to know the patient well and to be able to make a diagnosis and precise recommendations, the dentist will ask several health-related questions that will be recorded in the patient’s file.

During routine follow-ups, we will scale and polish your teeth and screen for cavities. But we also screen for any other potential oral problems or signs of disease, such as oral cancer.

It is common for the dentist to take x-rays to establish a diagnosis. These x-rays are safe for the patient. The pictures taken allow the dentist to validate the presence of gum infections or cavities, the wear of fillings and any other unusual signs.
